d. Your choice of 1 of 3 studies in satire: 1) Satire and science fiction 2) American satire in war
settings OR 3) Satire in various genres.
e. A satire project: Your choice of one of the following:
• You create an original satire piece in any genre
• Analyze 3 examples of satire, other than those studied in class.
Extra Credit: Write a poetry and satire explication for W. H. Auden's "The Unknown Citizen". See Satire Unit Instructions 2011 below for details.
